Their time was equal to almost 1 full-time equivalent employee and is valued at nearly FFEN’s annual budget!
During Volunteer Appreciation Week, we want to pause and recognize the remarkable group of professionals who show up for FFEN and the food shelves we serve in a truly extraordinary way. Our skilled volunteers — interior designers, architects, engineers, electricians, project managers, data analysts, and board members — bring the full weight of their professional expertise to this work, and the impact is felt in every redesigned food shelf space, every data insight that sharpens our approach, and every well-run project that helps a community better serve its neighbors. What they give goes far beyond time. They bring talent, energy and a deep commitment to the idea that everyone deserves access to food with dignity.
The food shelves they support may never fully know all the hands that shaped their spaces, their systems, and their strategies, but we do. Because of these volunteers, food shelves across Minnesota are more welcoming, more efficient, and better equipped to meet the moment. Thank you to all our FFEN volunteers for putting their skills toward something that matters. We are grateful beyond measure to have you in our corner.
