Share about your educational experience and background?
I’m pursuing a dual Master of Science in Finance and Master of Science in Business Analytics degree at Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. I’m interested in using analytics tools to solve business problems.
What most interested you about FFEN?
I highly agree about the mission and vision of FFEN. It means a lot to me to contribute to MN’s hunger relief and help all shoppers of local food shelves get access to healthy, sustainable, and predictable food. Also, I love our friendly and engaging work environments. Look forward to learning more from all of them!
What are you most excited about in your role?
It is pretty cool to analyze data and craft meaning from it. Data by itself is just raw facts seemingly random. It is not useful until it is processed to obtain information and shown in an understandable way. So I feel excited to experience the whole process from collecting data, quality checks, generating Food Source Analysis reports, and communicating with local food shelves leaders. The experience will also improve my communication and data analytics skills.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love reading and watching movies in my free time. I also enjoy taking snapshots of street scenes. It freshens my mind to capture any natural movement and expression of a city.
