A highly experienced, proven med tech leader, Roopa has extensive background in strategy implementation designed to streamline operations, drive development and delivery of innovative products. She is skilled in using data-driven decision-making to improve performance and customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and promote innovation. Adept at managing cross-functional teams toward meeting project and program deliverables, Roopa is also skilled at championing product ideas, new concepts, and industry best practices.
During her 25+ year professional journey, she has gained valuable experience in strategic long-range planning and operating plan management. What she enjoys most about being a leader is the opportunity to organize, build, mentor, and develop teams with diverse perspectives. These skills and passions have been critical in her roles as president for her homeowner’s association, and a volunteer leader for breast cancer awareness events among the Asian community.
Having volunteered with FFEN since July 2023 with a focus on improving volunteer engagement, Roopa has been inspired by the commitment of this organization, its staff and volunteers who go above and beyond in addressing issues of hunger and food insecurity in our community. Roopa holds an MBA from the PSG Institute of Management, an MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Calicut University.
