Thank you to all of you who have already made a Give to the Max Day gift! We only have $13,000 more dollars to raise to reach our $70,000 goal. If you haven’t donated, NOW is the time to make the MAXimum impact for local food shelves responding to the increased need for food in their community.
Your gift expands FFEN’s critical services to ensure sustainability for food shelves while expanding food access to their community. Food shelves just like Centennial Food Shelf in the north suburbs who enlisted FFEN expertise to reimagine their space and shift to full choice model shopping.
While Centennial transitioned to in-person shopping, FFEN assisted in consulting on the design of their physical space and providing new signage for clear shopper flow. Since then, the food shelf has increased how often shoppers can visit as well as adding weekend service hours and has further prioritized their food sourcing to focusing 70% of their food budget on fresh produce, dairy and protein.
“I really feel the open communication between FFEN and Food Shelves is one of the key elements of completion of projects and sustained improvement … FFEN’s involvement even if it is recommendations and feedback provide that support component that keep these projects alive.” — Executive Director, Centennial Area Food Shelf
Help make progress like this possible for food shelves and the community members needing food resources. Make the Max Impact this Give to the Max Day by donating TODAY at www.givemn.org/ffen.
