Chandrasekaran leaves board, stays involved

Thank you to Roopa Chandrasekaran for volunteering on FFEN’s board of directors for
the last year.
Prior to her work on the board, Chandrasekaran spent six months as a volunteer with
FFEN, focusing on improving volunteer engagement.
“I am deeply inspired by the commitment of this organization, its staff and volunteers
who go above and beyond in addressing issues of hunger and food insecurity,” she
said.
Chandrasekaran first came to FFEN looking for a way to contribute her organizational
skills as a professional project manager and strategic planner. A proven med tech
leader, Chandrasekaran has extensive background in strategy implementation designed
to streamline operations, drive development and delivery of innovative products. She is
skilled in using data-driven decision-making to improve performance and customer
satisfaction, reduce costs, and promote innovation.
She brought that background to her work on FFEN’s governance committee and, while
she is stepping away from her role on the board, Chandrasekaran said she hopes to
continue volunteering with FFEN. Her professional commitments and out of state travel interfere with FFEN’s in-person board meetings so she chose to vacate her role.
“I really like the organizational efficiency FFEN brings to these food supply sources,” Chandrasekaran said.
